Batdorff awarded HU Women’s Auxiliary Scholarship

Luke Batdorff of Bluffton, Ind., has been awarded a $1,200 scholarship from the HU Women's Auxiliary at Huntington University.

An HU Presidential Colloquium Scholar, Batdorff is a sophomore majoring in mathematics with a minor in computer science.

On the HU campus, Batdorff is a member of the Leadership Team for Freshmen Mentoring, a team member in intramural sports, and a participant in community volunteer work.

The son of Dave and Susan Batdorff, he is a graduate of Norwell High School.

During his high school career, he earned academic honors, induction into the National Honor Society, all state academic recognition for track and field, and recognition as Norwell High School representative at Hoosier's Boys State.

Established in 1973 by Mrs. Elba Kriegbaum, the HU Women's Auxiliary Scholarship is an endowed fund. An annual contribution of $750 along with memorial gifts is made to the fund principal by contributory auxiliary members of the Huntington community, past and present Huntington University personnel, and Women's Ministries organizations of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ.
