College hosts Family Weekend Nov. 8-9

HUNTINGTON, IN November 6, 1996 --- Huntington College students will host FAMILY WEEKEND '96 on Friday and Saturday, November 8-9.

"The response to this year's Family Weekend has been tremendous!" said Christina K. Smith, alumni director. "Nearly 300 parents, siblings, and grandparents are planning to join us for some portion of the weekend."

The annual event provides an opportunity for Huntington College students to introduce their families to their "home away from home." A variety of special activities are planned, including a "Family Quiz Bowl" hosted by the Alphi Chi Honor Society, a mainstage theatre production of "Romeo & Juliet," a music concert, parents association meetings, athletic events and an old-fashioned ice cream social. Throughout the day on Friday, parents, siblings, prospective students, and grandparents are invited to attend college classes with their HC student.

Families of Huntington College students or prospective students may call Christina Smith for further information at (260) 356-6000, ext. 1097.
