Doctorate students to present event on immigration

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Two doctorate students from the University of East Anglia will present their research on "Refugee or Enemy: Immigration and the British Empire" during the next Centre for Non-Western Studies event on April 2.

The event is jointly hosted by the Centre for Non-Western Studies and the Library Focus on Excellence Series. It will begin at 7 p.m. in the RichLyn Library conference room at Huntington University. It is free and open to the public.

The event will be facilitated by Jennifer Reeve and Chris Sutton, PhD students at the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. They hope through the event to increase attendees' understanding of immigration, refugee and discrimination issues as well as challenge their worldviews. Sutton is a 2009 alum of HU.
