Foundation breakfast to discuss economic development in Huntington

Brooks Fetters, Huntington University, a Christian collegeHUNTINGTON, Ind. Economic development is arguably one of the top issues facing the City of Huntington. On March 14, join Huntington Mayor Brooks Fetters and Tom Wall, president of the Huntington County Commissioners, at the Huntington University Foundation breakfast as they discuss progress and initiatives in both the city and Huntington County.

Fetters began his term as mayor of Huntington in January. He also served as a member of the Foundation board from 2001 to 2011 and as its president for three years.

The Foundation breakfast is open to the public. It will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $7. First-time attendees eat free courtesy of Bailey-Love Mortuary.

The breakfast is held on the second Wednesday of every month during the school year. Since 1938, the Huntington University Foundation has assisted Huntington County residents who attend Huntington University through the annual Huntington County Grant and endowed scholarships. The foundation also supports community arts events.
