Huntington University to sponsor career fair April 15

HUNTINGTON Ind. Huntington University is one of eight universities sponsoring the NICE (Northeast Indiana Career Enrichment) career fair from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the IPFW campus fieldhouse.

Kay Schwob, director of the Enterprise Resource Center, explains that the career fair is a consortium of different area colleges and universities including Huntington University, the University of Saint Francis, Grace College, Ivy Tech Community College, Manchester University, Indiana Tech, Trine University and IPFW.

The career fair is an opportunity for students and alumni to search for full time, part-time jobs, as well as internships.

Currently, there are 80 employers registered to attend. Last year, the number was as high as 90, making it the largest career fair in the area. The committee hopes to reach that number again.

This year students will have the opportunity to learn how to create a LinkedIn profile, as well as have a professional picture taken to use with their LinkedIn account.

The career fair is open to students and alumni of the participating schools.
