Emmanuel Community to host Attaboy, The Fabulous

Huntington, Ind.-Emmanuel Community Church is hosting a free concert featuring rock band Attaboy and indie-rock newcomer The Fabulous at 7 p.m. on Dec 5.

The church is located at 12222 U.S. Highway 24 West in Fort Wayne.

The Fabulous, a Grand Rapids-based band, is made up of Michigan residents: A.J. Van Boxel with lead vocals, guitar and piano; Alex Ribbens on vocals and bass; Jeff Rubleski on keyboard and Ben Downer on drums. They label themselves as a "rock band that plays rock music." The Fabulous will meet up with Attaboy for the Dec. 5 concert and then continue on the band's own concert route throughout Illinois and Nebraska.

Attaboy includes (left to right) Micah Beckwith, Amos Caley, Jeff Edgel and Chris Brumbaugh.
Three of the four members of Attaboy, a Huntington-based alternative rock group, are graduates of Huntington University.

Drummer Micah Beckwith graduated from the university in 2005 with a double major in business management, and economics and finance. Amos Caley, also a 2005 alumnus, has a bachelor's degree in Bible and religion. Guitarist Jeff Edgel majored in elementary education and graduated in 2004. Though bassist Chris Brumbaugh is not an alumnus, he has lived in Huntington all of his life and is a member of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, the founding denomination of Huntington University.
