ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT MAJOR

Where technical mastery meets leadership

The engineering management major is designed to prepare students for leadership roles at the intersection of engineering, technology, and business. By combining coursework in business, mathematics, computer science, and physics with Purdue University’s renowned engineering expertise, students gain a strong foundation in both technical and managerial skills. This interdisciplinary approach equips graduates to lead complex projects, manage cross-functional teams, and optimize business operations in a variety of industries.

As part of the program, students complete a nine-credit Graduate Certificate in Systems through Purdue University. These graduate-level credits not only fulfill major requirements but can also be applied toward a Master of Science (MS) in Systems Engineering at Purdue, giving students a head start on an advanced degree. In addition, students earn a Certificate in Data Analytics, further expanding their skill set and opening doors to roles in data-driven decision-making, operations analysis, and strategic planning. This powerful combination of training positions students for success in today’s technology-driven economy.
